How To Be Saved!
Romans 10:9 is a key verse in understanding the concept of salvation. It says:
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
So, to be saved according to this verse:
-
Declare with your mouth: This means openly confessing and proclaiming that Jesus is Lord. It's about publicly acknowledging Jesus as the ruler of your life, committing to follow Him and obey His teachings.
-
Believe in your heart: This involves genuine faith and trust in Jesus Christ. It's not merely an intellectual acknowledgment but a heartfelt conviction that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and was raised from the dead.
When you sincerely do these two things—confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead—you will experience salvation. This salvation involves forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life.
However, it's important to note that true faith in Christ is not just a one-time event but a lifelong journey of growing in relationship with Him, following His teachings, and living out His love in our lives.
